Dianthus cruentus Griseb. ssp. turcicus (Velen.) Stoj. et Acht.

This species which is not found in Romania seems to be the Balkan - west Anatolian replacer of Dianthus carthusianorum L. It also looks very much like our endemic Dianthus banaticus (Heuffel) Borbas apart from the obvious pink (not purple red) flowers in this particular subspecies presented below.
